Education is key. But what happens after high school or college graduation? Many of our young graduates
leave for greener pastures outside the state. Why not give them a reason to stay? We should make the
transition from high school to higher education easier, at a lesser cost. Then, we should provide good jobs
so they'll choose Maine over all others.
Focus on what we have and not on what we don't. It's so easy to say we need to get this and bring that
here, but for some reason, it's always more of a challenge to enhance and expand what we have. Like
Murphy's Law says, "there's never enough time to it right the first time, but there is always enough time to
do it over." Maine government needs a good dose of common sense, one thing it's been sorely lacking for
years.
